Little Rock is actually a cool little city. I was there on Friday night, and Saturday morning. There was a little farmer’s market downtown, and what looked like a street/art fair going on. Tons of people walking around and lots of cute little shops. Of course, the main attraction (for me, anyway) was the Clinton Library.
The interesting part of it was how the timeline triggered memories of middle school and high school. I remembered exactly how old I was and what I was doing and what I was interested in and what type of music I was into when I was reading all that stuff.
There were a bunch of kids looking up and the huge time line displays - and I realized, they weren’t even around for any of these events. Sort of depresses you to think about how much time has passed. A child as old as TEN can walk around that place and it really is someone else’s history, for him. The way it was when I walk around the LBJ library, I guess. So, so, weird.
